Yes. Bobby Abreu puts the game away to the point Jim Brower can't even blow it. 9-2 Yankees top 8.

Here's the wire story I got the tidbit from:

gotta love this quote from the younger Bacsik
"If it does happen, it's not a horrible thing for Barry Bonds to hit a home run off you," he said. "Me and Al Downing can do card shows together and sign famous autographs for being the guy."

Personality-wise, at least, Bacsik vs. Bonds is the biggest mismatch ever.

Great quote, which makes me think of this ...

"Put me down for a grand on that Baczik kid giving up Bonds' 756th." [/Charlie Hustle]

Saw a great AP pic of the Yankees/Blue Jays scuffle. Matt Stairs looks like he's getting ready to kill (or at least sit on) A-Rod.

Wow, I didn't know Giambi was back. He is pinch hitting for Shelley Duncan presently.

ESPN2 wouldn't postpone the start of the SF-Washington game for WNBA double OT, would they?

I was just wondering the same thing. It's not like we've got a deadline here in the East, or anything.

They better cut away from this WNBA bullshit quick fast in a hurry.

The ticker at the bottom said it would be moved to ESPNews in some markets and everyone else would pick it up live.
