    Don't underestimate Trump's line of attack.

    Trump's charge of low energy against Jeb! devastated his campaign. He's never recovered from it.

    Character was Ben Carson's strong suit. Trump spent a day attacking it, and Carson tumbled in the polls, and won't be back. (And, don't kid yourself, it was Trump that did Carson in, not just the news accounts questioning his life story. Getting "attacked" by the media would have only solidified Carson's support.)

    Cruz is supposed to be a Truth Teller, unafraid of the consequences, or what it will do to people's opinion of him. If Trump can expose him as a hypocrite on this, it will hurt Cruz, especially with voters like Iowa Evangelicals. They've been with Cruz for about a minute, having abandoned Carson. They can be pulled away from Cruz if Trump hammers him on this, and Cruz doesn't get a handle on it.
