I was rooting for the Bengals to kick the field goal, send it to OT, and the Rams score a touchdown to win, whether it was the first possession or not.

I had the Rams at 4 1/2 and the over at 48 1/2. Oh well.

In the first Simpsons Super Bowl episode, they’ve cut out a part when Bart starts rooting for snipers to show up at the halftime show. I’m pretty sure they cut that part out after 9/11.

Count me as surprised nobody had an ad with Tom Brady
And I may get roasted for this, but the window dressing done by the NFL during the Super Bowl isn't fooling anyone. "We're showing girls who play football!, Deaf kids who play football! and black singers during the pre-game and halftime." Yeah, but what about head coaches? "We're showing girls who play football...."

The Academy Awards is just as egregious when the nominations come out and they are on the um, lighter side. So they'll overload the presenters, do a tribute, present an honorary Oscar or some such.

And I see Halle Berry yesterday, I see her at the Oscars - you know where I don't see her as much as I should? Movies. Mickey Guyton did great yesterday. She's won Grammys, but you wouldn't know it listening to country radio. And do I even mention that the artist taking a knee yesterday was Eminem? Like I said. weird.

Anyone else get irritated with people "virtue signalling" (I guess) their disinterest in the Super Bowl on social media? I don't get it - these are the same people who will post with pride and enthusiasm about something they're really into - a holiday, an activity, the Oscars - and yet you just don't see posts "shaming" them for enjoying something that you may not.
You went for a hike yesterday? Great! You tend to go to the movies on Super Sunday? Fantastic! - but do you need to add (with an air of superiority) that you have no interest in the Super Bowl, like there is something wrong with the rest of us? It's off-putting.

This was more their speed - didnt realize Up With People were still doing SBs into the mid-80s.

Was kind of hoping Dre would bring out the Sugerhill Gang for the finale.

    Don’t forget Bruce Smith.

Smith was a 3-4 defensive end. Not really the same position.
