Buddy of mine works for a LA-local TV news production outfit and got a call last Wednesday from someone in the Rams organization phoning with a simple question: "What do you guys know about putting on a parade?" Yes, last Wednesday, as in 5 days before the Super Bowl...not 2 weeks before, as is usually the case. So the production crew got to work and quickly discovered there were very few options. SoFi is locked down by the NFL for 14 days after the SB; that included the area around the Forum. Lakers have a game tonight so South Fig was not available. Rose Bowl said sure but you gotta give the neighborhood 6 weeks notice. Dodger Stadium? Not a feasible option. So, how about the Colosseum? Yep, NASCAR is still tearing down the track. So that left a janky field in front of the Colosseum as the end point, and the start at an even more janky Shrine Auditorium. Maybe they shoulda just hired LeBron to organize it?
Opinion | Why Gen X was so enraged by millennials' Super Bowl halftime ownership I'm still struck by the idea that when the SB halftime performers were born - heck, hip-hop is younger than the Super Bowl itself.
What does that mean? Do they have it booked with various other events? A security thing? Or just don't let anyone in for some other reason?
Joe Burrow looks like he's not only about to join the Mile High Club, he looks like he's going to slap four Delta Airlines logos on his luggage afterward like a WWII fighter pilot. ot.
Dear Penthouse, I'm just an average...."guy" - but recently I took a flight to LA to play in a title game and I swear this really happened.....
