Bert Sugar dies

I don't mean to be snooty here, but am I missing the reason why this isn't titled RIP Bert Sugar? The only sports personality who didn't receive the RIP treatment on here, as I recall, was Al Davis.

Sugar was also a critic of toughman contests, those boxing tourmanents for people with no boxing training. On an episode of Nightline, he compared them to having a swimming race for people who can't swim.

 

THAT... was great fun to read.

 

He was a brilliant guy, with a law degree from the University of Michigan, and as he loved to remind everyone, that was the last bar he ever passed.
