That's an incredible song, right up there with "Bad" as the best thing they've done.

Where the Streets have No Name is by far their best song, in my opinion.

That's definitely the best song when they're in concert.

The South region is a killer.

Definitely the toughest path for any of the No. 1 seeds. My 10 favorite albums left, in order (based purely on my taste as it stands today):

    1. Appetite for Destruction
    2. Purple Rain
    3. Thriller
    4. Sign O' The Times
    5. 3 Feet High and Rising
    6. Master of Puppets
    7. Disintegration
    8. It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
    9. Paul's Boutique
    10. Raising Hell

Four of the top eight are in the South. And Remain in Light and Synchronicity would be top 20. And Paid in Full would have been No. 5 had it not been knocked out by Peter fucking Gabriel.

Watch out for changing the rules. Mizzou will bitch and moan for 12 pages about it.

He'll be fine as long as Appetite advances.

I'll vote for it every round, but I'm not going to call people idiots if they vote for Joshua Tree or Purple Rain over it... I can't imagine anything in its region taking it out.

Re: Best Album of the '80s - A Tournament (Second round results, Sweet 16 on pag

    East
1 Thriller (Michael Jackson) vs. 5 1999 (Prince) -- This is tough. 1999 as a No. 5 seed? This album is much better than fellow 5 seeds Remain in Light and 3 Feet High.
3 Born in the USA (Bruce Springsteen) vs. 2 Raising Hell (Run-D.M.C.) -- I love Raising Hell, but Bruce gets the nod, just barely.

    South
1 It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back (Public Enemy) vs. 5 Remain In Light (Talking Heads)
6 Master of Puppets (Metallica) vs. 2 Appetite For Destruction (Guns N' Roses) -- save a spot in the Final Four for Axl, Slash and the boys

    Midwest
1 Purple Rain (Prince and the Revolution) vs. 4 Graceland (Paul Simon)
3 Straight Outta Compton (N.W.A) vs. 2 Back In Black (AC/DC)

    West
1 The Joshua Tree (U2) vs. 5 3 Feet High and Rising (De La Soul)
3 Murmur (R.E.M.) vs. 2 Licensed To Ill (Beastie Boys)

Graceland is in the Sweet 16? Ugh.

    Anyway ...

    East
1 Thriller (Michael Jackson) vs. 5 1999 (Prince) -- Interesting matchup since these albums were out at the same time.
3 Born in the USA (Bruce Springsteen) vs. 2 Raising Hell (Run-D.M.C.) -- I'm just meh on Springsteen albums.

    South
1 It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back (Public Enemy) vs. 5 Remain In Light (Talking Heads) -- Easy choice.
6 Master of Puppets (Metallica) vs. 2 Appetite For Destruction (Guns N' Roses) -- Easy choice. I like Metallica, but I mean, c'mon.

    Midwest
1 Purple Rain (Prince and the Revolution) vs. 4 Graceland (Paul Simon) -- This should be a blowout.
3 Straight Outta Compton (N.W.A) vs. 2 Back In Black (AC/DC) -- Relatively easy choice.

    West
1 The Joshua Tree (U2) vs. 5 3 Feet High and Rising (De La Soul) -- The Joshua Tree has never hit with me like it did with others.
3 Murmur (R.E.M.) vs. 2 Licensed To Ill (Beastie Boys) -- The one hard choice for me. There's no wrong answer here.
