Paders in the '70s were awful.

Still nothing crisper, more pure, than Dodgers at home.

I love the white, steel worker pirate. Always have. Always will.

Best: San Diego Super Chargers Powder Blue.

Worst: Anything Oregon has worn in the last decade.

    NHL: Every original 6
MLB: Detroit Tigers home uniforms (despite my homer bias), Dodgers, cream-colored Giants. I always loved the Expos tricolors too.
NFL: Chargers powder blues; Raiders; 1970s/80s Dolphins (pre-black trim and shadow numbers); current 49ers
NBA: Not a fan of the sport. But Celtics, Lakers, 70s Sonics, 70s Cavs

Worst -- Tom Seaver-era White Sox

The Steelers Bumble Bee uniforms are horrible. The sleeveless Red uniforms from the late 60s were pretty horrendous as well.

Neither did I. In fact, I liked them. However, have to admit I must be an oddball: I miss the Seahawks' original uniforms, too.

+1 Baron's take on the Islanders' fishermen look. Best in hockey? My favorites are Montreal and Chicago.

Best: Dodgers, Cardinals, Black Hawks, Raiders all jump to mind

Worst: Padres, early 80s Canucks, 80s Astros. Generally, a good rule of thumb to avoid browns, yellows and orange tones. Virtually any NFL throwback uniform--that's a fad that has clearly run its course.

How bad was this one? The players and coaches refused to wear it, and brass (no pun intended here) relented. Considering some of the monstrosities out there, not sure if that has ever happened before.

The Best? That's a lot more tricky. Everyone will let their biases in on this one, it's what you relate to, your memories from a bygone era growing up. I will note, I don't think I saw a current rendition of any uniform make the best list (and by that, I don't mean the Yankees, Dodgers or 'Bama who have all remained virtually untouched for generations). A lot of what is produced today is dreck, but there are some good ones out there. Though I loath the team, I actually like the Elvis inspired Patriots jerseys and the latest rendition of the Seahawks jersey has grown on me, now that the electric green is toned down. Also, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets have a very sharp set of unis and even the Chicago White Sox of the last 20 years have finally found something of a classic design.

Of course, overall, it is tough to top the Original 6, and of those I've always liked the Blackhawks red unis the best, even if it is not exactly PC to say so now. In football, again I go to Chicago, I love the Bears jerseys, very classic, great fit for the city. In Baseball, it's hard to beat the Dodgers or Yankee pinstripes, while in basketball, damn that's a minefield of horribleness right there, but the Celtics and Bulls are the best of what's out there.

The worst uniforms currently in use? Just look to most third jerseys, whether it is the OKC Thunder or the Calgary Flames walmart-cheapo inspired set. Also the Jacksonville Jaguars, pretty sure someone was doing acid when they figured that would be a good idea.

The 76er uniforms of the late 60s when they had Wilt and of the early '80s when they had Dr. J were great. When the teams have stunk, so have the uniforms. There's a moral there somewhere. IMO, teams that are always monkeying around with uniform design are indicating their management has no clue as to what it's about. Can anyone draw any newspaper business parallels?
