Best burger you've ever had

I'm 0-for-2 at the area's first SmashBurger. Just not impressed - Give me Five Guys anytime.

I was in Florence, AL, one time on assignment and went with some folks to a pool hall downtown that served the best, greasiest burger I've ever had. Can't remember the name of that joint.

Best burger in Florence (and one of my all-time favorites) belongs to Staggs. It's not a pool hall, but it's right down the street from one, if I remember right. Great breakfast spot too.

 

Oh, I wouldn't go there on a regular basis or anything. Also, there's nothing "regular" about it that I can tell.

 

Red Robin is the best.

 

Only had 1 experience with Red Robin (Amarillo,Tx) but was not impressed.

 

If the meat has been frozen in a patty form, I have a hard time calling it a great burger.

The toppings are boring. There's no second meat or something like that to help justify the price. That said, the burger looks amazing.

Toppings? Sounds like you might be more comfortable at Fuddruckers.
