Nah, the only vegetables that belong on a burger are raw onion and (sometimes) jalapeno, both of which should be cut thick and set underneath the burger for as long as possible.

Now, if the Fuddruckers fixings bar had chili and bacon, we could talk. But I trust the professionals making my burger at a good burger place to deliver my burger dressed properly.

Does Fuddrucker's still use cheese sauce? Not a fan of that goop.

Maybe Fuddrucker's was good 15 years ago, I don't know. All I know is I went once in 2007 and the renowned fixins' bar everybody talks about had fruit flies hovering over it and a lot of produce I'd never think about picking up at a grocery store. Wet lettuce, slimy tomatoes, mayo drippings in the mustard. Never again.

Just one person's experience on one day at one restaurant, but I won't ever be going back, that's for sure.

I love Fuddrucker's but due to my regionality rarely get to eat there. I actually really like their cheese sauces...but maybe that's how I was raised. I have a feeling today's "organic" babies will grow up to be repulsed by "nacho cheese" and all other manner of unnatural cheeses.

Does anyone here remember a chain called Flaky Jake's? It was one of the first places I ever went where they had TVs for almost every table, which is commonplace these days...

They had them all over Northern California in the 1990s. Very similar to Fuddruckers.

I like Fuddruckers. They have the cheese sauces, but it's not like you have to put it on it.

I dated a girl in middle school who had a Flaky Jakes T-shirt that said "Best Buns in Town." I know there used to be one in Indianapolis in the early '90s, but that's the only one I've ever seen. And it hasn't been around since the late '90s, I think.

Was there a time when Fuddruckers only had cheese sauce? Now they definitely have regular cheese.
