Yeah, I think it was just cheese sauce at the start. I haven't been to a Fuddrucker's in years, but only because they're not in my area.

They still have cheese sauces at the fixins bar but I believe you can order a cheeseburger and get a slice of whatever (American, cheddar, swiss, etc) melted onto it on the grill. Those who are cheap order the hamburger and use the sauce. Those who aren't, pay the extra for the cheeseburger.

Bobby's Burger Palace opens next week in my hood. Been looking forward to this for a long time. Heard good things about this place. Will likely give it a try next weekend.

Hope they're generous with the lettuce!

Sam's Burger Joint on Broadway just north of downtown San Antonio is pretty fucking amazing, too. Burgers are so big, they actually brand their logo into the top bun.

We just got a BurgerFi in our town. Very small chain ready for exploive growth. Makes Five Guys seem like slop. Top-5 all-time. Seriously. Just wow.

I prefer BGR The Burger Joint to Five Guys, but the price is a bit steep unless you're getting it for lunch on a weekday.

They also have a challenge call The 9-Pounder. Here's the summary:

Obviously, the lettuce is the only thing keeping me from giving this a try.

Recently ate at Ray's to the Third in Arlington. Thought it was excellent.

Two heads of lettuce? Holy hell. Try not to pass out from excitement.

Was just at Thunder & Buttons in Colorado Springs. Very good buffalo burger.

There has to be a better prize for eating a 9-pound burger than, you know, getting a 9-pound burger for free.

It's a huge load. :) Throw some cash in there.

Best burger I've had at a ballgame: H&F Burgers at Turner Field. I literally didn't know that was the Holeman & Finch people until just now when I googled it.

Now that I know that's THAT burger, I'm totally going for Burger Time one night. It's freaking delicious. And perfect.
