    I also nominate Max Weinberg.

Two. One-handed setup is way, way, way, too electronic sounding.

    Charlie Watts, of course.

Charlies Watts is in the upper echelon. Damn, ARD beat me to it.

Rick Allen has to be one of the best one-armed drummers out there, though. Hands down. Or would that be hand down?

    Cheap, but entertaining.

Personally, I like the one-handed edition better.

As for Ulrich, his drumming circa And Justice for All helped carry that album. But it's like he forgot to keep time on the last album they put out; just awful, awful drumming.

Mentioned Peart in my initial post.

Assuming Peart is the best (and really, why wouldn't you) a seldom spoken-of drummer outside percussionist circles who is simply phenomenal is Mark Brzezicki. Big Country and Procul Harem drummer and the guy The Who guys go to for solo projects. He's work on Roger Daltrey's album "Under a Raging Moon" was greatness.

I know as much about drumming as I do nuclear physics, but I've always thought Mick Fleetwood was pretty good. Saw Max Weinberg with Springsteen once and was astounded at how good he was, so I second Chef's nomination.
