Apropos of nothing, I'd like to see Jack Bauer's story get wrapped up someday.

It's 'Cougar Town.' Nobody laughs at that.

I'll throw "Friday Night Lights" into the mix as well. Yeah, it's an everyone lives happily ever after finish, but it felt so right for it to end that way.

    Agreed "Newhart" is GOAT.

Oh, don't worry, as long as KS is semi-ambulatory, I bet they'll bring back Bauer for yet another epilogue series.

Maybe he'll make a cameo in 24:Legacy to sort of tie up his storyline.

    'MASH' finale stunk on ice.
    'Newhart' is the benchmark.
    'Seinfeld' is unfairly pilloried.

Still love the ending to Scrubs, with the montage at the end. Still haven't watched the "spinoff" all the way through, and I don't intend to.

Reminds me that I need to binge-watch that sucker. Every time I stumbled on it I loved it. But I doubt I've seen more than a dozen and a half episodes.

I thought the final scene of the original law and order was awesome. They negotiate a plea agreement for 20 years, which was the length of the show. And the line was something about 20 years was good enough.

What I liked about the line was that it was justification for complete BS -- very Elmore. Olyphant and Goggins were so great together and it was a shame that the actress who played Ava couldn't keep up with them.
