In terms of games not mentioned so far, Hamilton Mustangs vs. Thunder Bay after Dean Youngblood returns from his brief walkout and goes toe-to-toe with Racki at the end. That would be a fun one to be at.

Songbird beat me to the soccer game in Victory. That's the first one that came to mind when I saw the thread.

Another good one not mentioned yet is the last game of the World Series in League of Their Own -- a 3-2 final that ended on a play at the plate.

I'll never forget that epic Cubs-Mets game when Chet Steadman gutted out six innings then gave the ball to Henry Rowengartner to close it out.

I thought the Mariners-Twins playoff game was better. Randy Johnson coming on in relief in the 9th and Ken Griffey Jr. needing to leap at the fence to catch Lou Collins' blast for the final out.

A play clouded by suspicions that the great Dottie Hinson dropped the ball on purpose after the collision, either because she was in cahoots with gamblers, or just wanted her sister to finally have something good happen to her.

I was 10 when I saw it. Fell in love with the moment. The slo-mo replays and close-up on Von Sydow and swooshing sound effects together made it a masterful moment in film.

    The lead-up helped immensely.

OK that's a good one ... but do you remember that time when Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs came from behind to win the Bourbon Bowl?

The final game in ABA history, where Flint Tropics owner/forward Jackie Moon invented the alley-oop in a dream and used it to lead the Tropics to the mega-bowl
