Brilliant take on the old Reach for the Top show that was on Toronto TV for years...

Good to see some love for Jim Perry who hosted the classic Canuckistani game show Definition as well as Headline Hunters and the awesome, but short-lived Eye Eet, where they showed old movie clips and asked contestants questions based on it such as "What was the time on the clock?"

I'll go with Hollywood Squares with John Davidson, Match Game, Tic Tac Dough with Wink Martindale as my top 3. Richard Dawson Feud a close 4.

No love for Double Dare on Nickelodeon?

Perfect DVR show. Like you said, 10 minutes.

As someone else mentioned, I too liked "Sale of the Century." The suspense would build if a guy/gal kept winning and inching closer to a new Buick Somerset.

Cash Cab deserves mention. It was a perfect play-along game.

Price is Right circa '78 to about '90 ...

    Joker's Wild ...

    Tic Tac Dough ...

Scrabble because of the sound the tiles made when slipped thru the slit onto whatever they dropped into ...

Name That Tune was fun ...

Remote Control circa Quinn and Sandler was stupid but fun ...

Family Feud with Richard Dawson ...

Everyone should watch What's My Line at some point ...

One of the best episodes from one of the best game shows -- Match Game -- is when they brutalized young Brian Billick ...

Perhaps it's because MTM is one of the big contributors, but this thread stirs up memories of the Mary Tyler Moore episode in which Ted Baxter got an offer to become a game-show host. His talk with Lou Grant -- "So ya wanna be a quiiizzz-master?" -- was a classic.
