I disagree. I love the stuff with young Vito and Frankie Five Angels, but Two gets bogged down in the Hyman Roth business and Fredo/Connie pissing and moaning a little too much. One doesn't have a single weak scene.

The book also goes into great detail about how bad a person that Luca Brazzi was. . . so bad that when he knocked up a non-Sicilian hooker that he threw the live baby into the furnace since it wasn't a pure-blood.

That scene helped me learn that there was, in fact, a racially insensitive name for my kind :D

FFC also ignored the fact that Fredo in the book needed penicillin almost every other week. How could Fredo *possibly* score enough tail for that to be a factor?

He was bangin' cocktail waitresses two at a time!

Man, weren't Cazale have long creepy fingers. When he starts to pat Mike on the back of the neck when he gets to Vegas, it's like the Crypt Keeper inching in for the kill.

"Anything you want kid, anything you want..." What a stud.

I've always said that the late, great John Cazale has the greatest IMDB page in history.

Discounting his role as an extra in a 1962 film called "The American Way," he made appearances in five films:

    1. "The Godfather" (1972)
    2. "The Conversation" (1974)
    3. "The Godfather, Part 2" (1974)
    4. "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975)
    5. "The Deer Hunter" (1978)

Add to that the fact that in his final years he was living with the young Meryl Streep, and you have the Sandy Koufax of Hollywood, IMHO.

Wasn't Cazale buddies with Pacino? Someone told me that was how he got the role in GF.

I understand that, Steak, but how was he capable? (Besides the fact that he was rich...)

Which STD does what need to take penicillin for?

In the book, IIRC, he managed to get the clap 3 times and syphilis once in a relatively short period of time.
