Best humorous semi-original Xmas song

The Hanukkah Song, hands down.

If for no other reason, the line "All Three Stooges."

However I'll throw in Root Boy Slim & The Sex Change Band's "XMas at Kmart," which had the immortal passage, "I musta died and gone to heaven, 'cuz hell is Christmas at the Seven-11."

Used to have that part on my answering machine back in the day.

My personal favorite is the song by Cheech & Chong. . . okay, it is more of a recital. I also liked the one by Bruce Springsteen.

Not that it matters for the purposes of this poll, but Dr. Elmo, the "Grandma got run over..." guy, is a heck of a guy. I interviewed him once and mentioned that my mother had been there at the beginning as she listened to the radio show that broke that song (Gene Nelson on KSFO in San Francisco if anyone cares), he asked her name, and a week later I got a picture in the mail, autographed to her, thanking her for being there at the start. Since she really liked the song, I came up big with chirstmas gifts that year.

I also ordered his latest CD about a year after that, and he answered his own order line...and remembered who I was when I gave him the name...Nice Guy.
