    Great intro, and song.

Just gave it a listen for the first time in a while, and there aren't too many 1980s songs that mention secretaries, cheap tarts and so-called superiors in the same verse — while rhyming "watch" and "crotch"!

Did a story on the basketball team at a military academy in Wisconsin some 30 years ago where a couple of NYC kids had been recruited. So in the middle of all the cornfields, here was a team that blasted this song as it came from the home locker room and went through warm-ups. As the players from this team, particularly the NYC imports, flashed their moves to the music, half of their opponents were beaten psychologically by the opening tip.

All of "Whammer Jammer" is awesome, including the intro - and Peter Wolf was always great at those.

The Wolf... man, I don't want to think about what his knees feel like, all the jumps to squats and the like that he did night after night.
