This was my first thought until I took this thread to be more about specific brands. Deep fried cheese curds are heaven. Especially with a Spotted Cow and some college football.

There was also something I had for the first time last time I was up in WI, cheese fudge. Never knew it existed until then. Good stuff. (Healthy, too, I'm sure).

The free ones you can get from vendors at the Madison farmers market hold a special place in my heart.

And, to have a disgustingly long string of posts on this thread (it's better than writing about nationalism) I'll throw out this from Ohio:
Slyman's corned beef. Worth checking out if you're coming to Cleveland for the SJ outing.

How regional are TastyKakes? Is it just a Philadelphia thing or more national?

They've been available at Publix here in ATL for at least a couple of years. Can't speak for the rest of the country, but I don't recall having seen them at grocery stores back home in the midwest.

Kolaches, especially those from Franke's Bakery in Montgomery, MN. Filled with your choice of fruit and better than any donut out there.

Unless all Slovaks are in Minnesota, the kolache is national, but I am guessing Franke's makes a great one.

Oh, french fries in your steak salad and chipped ham - Pittsburgh.

Shipley's has been in Mississippi for several generations at least. And you're right; they put Krispy Kreme to shame.

Jesus Muscatel, among others, will appreciate this, but one of my favorite Al Musky stories involves expired TastyKakes and Halloween ...

There are a few Skylines on the west coast of Florida, open for all the Ohio I-75 snowbirds.

    Anything New Glarus.

Love their wheats (Dancing Man, Crack'd Wheat, Black Wheat) and their Alt is kickass.

Just had their newest beer this evening, Wisconsin Cran-bic. I could drink that all day.
