Amen on the Maid-Rites. God I love those things.

I love Quaker Steak, not the best wings I've ever had, but damn good. I never got the love for Potato Patch fries. They're decent, but nothing special. And the Fat Head's symbol looks like Mark Mangino. I would get a chuckle every time I walked past it.

I'd vote for Albert's Real Jamaican on St. Clair...great regional cuisine

Then head across the river to EGF to Whitey's for a cold draft and you've hit the daily double.

I'd drive 1,933 miles for a Moose Drool.

Great call on Vernors on the first page.

Also, Edwards ham from Surry, Va.

Yeah, that stuff's incredible. Had some when I was out in Arizona last year, but you can't get it on my side of the Mississippi, apparently.

There aren't many left, but here's the best donut I've had...pretty sure the one in my town of residence is the only one on the East Coast.

Indeed. Grain Belt on tap, IIRC.

    That's living, dude.

Also, I was dismayed to learn that Aldi, at least the ones around here, don't carry Sweet Vally Black Cherry pop anymore. That stuff was a 12-pack of heaven for $2.50.

H&H Bagels. First thing that came to mind.
