Hot browns are a Thanksgiving weekend tradition around our house.

Don't know if it's regional or not, but I had a Gargantuan at Jimmy John's a little while ago.

    Good night, all. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Ditto on the Michigan triumvirate: Faygo, Vernor's and pasties.

From Montreal -- the Montreal bagel (crispier, lighter and coated with sesame seeds). Get 'em hot at St. Viatur's bagels. Not far from another phenomenal stop -- Schwartz's Smoked Meat. Medium-fat on rye.

Also -- full-bellied fried clams from Woodman's in Essex, Mass.

And Del's Frozen Lemonade all over Rhody.

I'm confused about the regionality of Vernor's. I remember having Vernor's here (SoCal) when I was a kid. And, trust me, I was a kid a long time ago.

Vernors is now owned by the Dr Pepper folks, but its' original to Michigan. Outside Michigan and surrounding states, availability is spotty.

Baesler's Supermarket in Terre Haute, Ind. is the greatest grocery store I've ever shopped at. Seriously.

And whoever mentioned Skyline Chili, thank you.

As far as I'm concerned, if you don't put noodles in your chili, you're doing it wrong.
