Forgot about Route 17 potato chips from Virginia. Dill pickle, especially.

Another: Croghan's bologna from Potsdam, N.Y.

Believe you're about six too high on that one.

I could not let this go by without seconding it. I am not a hot dog connoiseur by any means, but Hoffman's hot dogs are amazing. My friend, a Syracuse native, turned me onto them. Wegman's near me carries them.

Also want to share the love for the Rhode Island food: Del's, coffee milk, Awful Awfuls from Newport Creamery. clamcakes and spinach pie.

Agreed, to whoever posted about Sheetz. I always try and make a stop when I'm in North Carolina or Virginia for work - got a MTO cheeseburger and MTO turkey sub (for later consumption) on the way back from Raleigh this weekend.
Both delightful, especially the turkey sub I consumed Sunday morning.

Popo's in Roswell has the best enchiladas I've ever eaten. Everything they make is the best Mexican I've ever had. But I spent a lot of money on those enchiladas.

Forgive me if it's been mentioned already, but McAlister's sweet tea -- or any good southern sweet tea, really -- is phenomenal. I tried to order some in New Jersey once and the waitress looked at me like I'd asked her to piss in the glass. She'd never heard of it.

And speaking of New Jersey (and Philadelphia and the northeast), pork roll sandwiches are quite yummy. Those things were a staple of our school lunch diet growing up.

Whataburger - I'm thrilled about the annual return of the A1 Thick N Hearty burger.

Dr. Pepper bottled in Dublin, TX - Pure cane sugar makes a HUGE difference in soda pop compared to high fructose corn syrup. Most of the grocery and convenience stores around Dallas also stock Coca Cola bottled in Mexico. Double-check the label. Some are made with sugar while other have HFCS.

Czech Stop [West, TX] - The best kolache I've ever had. Whenever I'm returning from Austin or Satan Tonio I make sure to stop off and buy a dozen or two for my creators. They get peeved if they find out I drove through West without pulling off I35 to get kolaches.

Shiner Beer - I know it's available in many parts of the country now [was surprised to see it at a Target in Cleveland last year]. It's pretty much taken Lone Star's place as the "National Beer of Texas."

Fuel City - This truck stop located a stone's throw from the I30/I35-E clustermess has one of the best taquerias in the state. Fuel City tacos are damn near a religion in Big D. The sporadic mariachi bands and dancing girls only add to the atmosphere.

I'd run from IJAG after typing that.

And by the way, it's Dr Pepper, no period after Dr.

    Seriously.

I think most of us know that considering that it's a running joke that IJAG will scold anyone who puts a period on the Dr.
