Best regional food/drinks thread

Add cheese curds and voila! Poutine.

 

First I ever heard of that was in the movie "Diner," which is set in Baltimore. My brother order his fries like that all the time now in sit-down restaurants.

 

Nectar's in Burlington, Vermont, has gravy fries. Terrific at 2 a.m. after the bars close.

 

Actually, the best barbecue I've ever had was at Leatha's in Hattiesburg. The original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa is a close second.

Moe's has franchises as far west at Arizona, so it's basically a nationwide chain. Their burritos are good, but I'd rank them behind both Chipotle and Qdoba. The free chips are nice though.

 

I haven't had Chipotle in a couple years, and miss it much. Actually debating whether it's worth a three-hour round trip and a drive to Warwick RI.

 

It's not.

 

Well, I've never been to Rhode Island. And maybe schieza would go out for a milkshake with me afterward.

 

You know, I'd actually like that.

And, don't worry, you can tell the rest of the board I'm an asshole in real life even though, deep down, you'll know otherwise.

(BTW, Chipotle is like three minutes from my house).

 

Is there a Steak N Shake there? I'll meet you there for shakes.

 

I've never even heard of Steak N Shake so I did a quick look online. There's one in Pennsylvania. That's the closest one to me. I love me some steak and love me some shakes though so it sounds like a place I'm going to have to check out someday.
