I miss seeing Kim Raver, Bobby Cannavale, Skip Sidduth and Eddie Cibrian on the show. My favourite characters on the show were Bosco and Yokis (sp?). Doc and Carlos were two douchebags but prefect for the show.

At least A&E airs the show in syndication.

dooley, I love the China Beach theme song Reflections. I have it on my ipod.

Double J, I forgot about the Wide World of Sports theme from ABC. That one was good.

Edit: I went back to see that this is a bit of a d_b since the thread started with a reference to this.

That's the first thing I said when I saw the clip almost 15 years ago. And that's the same thing I saw when I watched it last night. I can't remember another time where the prettiest girl was the sidekick and not the main character -- and I'm not counting anything new like Ugly Betty; having never seen it, I'm just assuming that show applies to the Blossom Rule.

Jenna Von Oy can come over to my house any time.

Joanie Cunningham was uglier than just about any other ancillary female character on Happy Days.

And speaking of theme songs sung by the show's star, how about "The Fall Guy?"

Well, I'm not the kind to kiss and tell,
But I've been seen with Farrah.
I'm never seen with anything less than a nine, so fine.

I've been on fire with Sally Field,
Gone fast with a girl named Bo,
But somehow they just don't end up as mine.

    It's a death defyin' life I lead,
    I take my chances.
I die for a livin' in the movies and TV.
But the hardest thing I ever do
    Is watch my leadin' ladies
Kiss some other guy while I'm bandagin' my knee.

I might fall from a tall building,
I might roll a brand new car.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.

I never spend much time in school
    But I taught ladies plenty.
It's true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.

I've gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs,
    Blown up for Raquel Welch.
But when I end up in the hay it's only hay, Hey Hey.

I might jump an open drawbridge,
    Or Tarzan from a vine.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine.

But she wasn't the character on which the series was based.

She was in "Joanie Loves Chachie."

But now I'm just being argumentative ...

I didn't think about that one. I'll throw one up on the scoreboard for you, sir.

There was another part of the song that doesn't get played much, which is the long-playing version. Majors takes a dig at Burt Reynolds.

While that smooth talker kissing my girl,
    I'm just kissing dirt..

    Good call on Colt Seavers.

Reminds me of that other guy who sang his show's theme after that....Chunk Morris or something....played a cowboy cop.....um, McCloud?? Something like that.......

    Maybe the world is blind,
    Or just a little unkind.
    Don't know.

    Seems you can't be sure
    Of anything anymore.
    Although,

    You maybe lonely and then,
    One day you're smiling again.
    Every time I turn around,
I see the girl that turns my world around.
    Standing there...

    Every time I turn around,
Her spirit's lifting me right off the ground.
    What's gonna be?
Guess we'll just wait and see.

    Gold. Money.

    God I loved that show.

I loved that show, too- it was my childhood. there's a full length version of that theme on itunes. I listen to it every day.

You've got good taste in tunes. My friends and I used to let the credits play on the DVD -- just to sing along and listen to the first big bass drop.
