Agree wholeheartedly on "Third Watch". A hell of a show, too.

I have the Charles In Charge song as my ringtone.

I love the theme song for The Office.

My bad on the spelling, but it is that Deniece Williams.

It hasn't been mentioned yet, but my favorite as a kid was SWAT (cue Robert Urich jumping over the fence)

The Brady Bunch because you have to give credit to a tune that gave you the entire plot before the show started.

I'll put in Friends because it came at a time when the TV producers were phasing out the opening credits and theme song of a show and the Friends tune, whether you like it or hate it, showed everyone that having an opening credits and song could be a good thing.

I love the closing song to WKRP, but I can't seem to find the lyrics anywhere. ;)

FWIW, TV Guide did a Top 50 (or so) list of theme songs and Sanford and Son was No. 1. No argument from me.

Two that haven't been mentioned yet:

    - Dave's World (starred Harry Anderson as Dave Barry) .. had Southside Johnny covering Billy Joel's "You May Be Right" as the theme song
    - Down the Shore (a cheesy Fox sitcom that lasted one season - or less - about a group of friends at a beach house on the Jersey Shore in the summertime)... had Southside Johnny & the Jukes' "I Don't Want to go Home" as it's theme song

Did I read too fast (or accidentally scroll past the posts) that mentioned "The Munsters" or "The Adams Family"

Sticking with the Billy Joel theme, can I get some love for Bosom Buddies?

You mean the old NBA on CBS?

"Give it all you got, take you very best shot, and may be the team win.
The time is now, the name of the game is action.
You'll see the best in basketball when you watch the NBA.
    The NBAAAAA on CBSSSSS."
