    Frank Ridgeway,

You are a genius, a beautiful man filled with an unmatched combination of love and smarts. Love without smarts and smarts without love could not have killed this thread and the evil lies being spread by Interim Bedwetter and his/her very, very small pack of lie spreaders. The way you pretend to hate my special daddy and Journal Register Company and then use your cunningness to drive away the real haters shows the true brilliance of your brillianceness.

Words and music, Frank. Words and music. My lovely daddy told me to tell you that you are his Boardwalk Angel. His dreamy eyes batted as he asked me to tell you that from out out of the shadows, you walk like a dream. And that you make him feel crazy and make him feel so mean.

My family will be eternally grateful for your help in ending this thread and the vicious lies being spread on it. Thanks to you Frank Ridgeway, good hard working journalists can now apply for and accept jobs with the many wonderful publications in the JRC family without having been issued untrue warnings by emotionally unstable former employees. The love and caring that these future employees will feel will all be owed to you, Frank Ridgeway. I can only hope to one day feel the pride that must be running through your body, knowing that you will be responsible for helping hundreds of people enter the heart warming world of the JRC family.

As part of the celebration of our hard fought victory against these liars, my special daddy plans to make a major announcement very, very soon. I will post that announcement here when Daddy announces the announcement.

On behalf of the JRC family and my own dear, dear family, much love and kindness is wished upon you all.

    The Wrath of Robert

    By Christopher McDougall

Journal Register Company (JRC) CEO Robert Jelenic has raised a lot of hackles among past and present employees of his burgeoning newspaper empire.

Now he's pissing off the national press.

"I've never dealt with a newspaper company that was so paranoid," says Mary Walton, a former Philadelphia Inquirer reporter who interviewed Jelenic and a number of other small-paper tycoons for an article on the new breed of newspaper owners for the May issue of American Journalism Review (AJR). The rants, she says, also included Jelenic calling her "ignorant" and a "piranha."

Not only was Jelenic constantly and inexplicably angry, says Walton, but downright dishonest: "I caught him in two outright lies."

    Also from that article:
The Yahoo! message board can be found here:
    http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/Stocks_%28A_to_Z%29/Stocks_J/forumview?rt=1&bn=10106&so=L&ur=1

Oddly enough a very quick skim of the message board revealed no Trentonian complaints, a few JRC apologists, and lots of other scattered talk.

My special daddy will be making a major announcement tomorrow at 1 PM. I will post this announcement on this site as soon as my lovely daddy announces it.

Daddy said that this announcement, which is part of the celebration of the end of the lies being spread on this thread, effects not only the journalism world but all of mankind.

Much love and kindness to you all.

I can only assume this will be a televised suicide. Does anyone know if he's selling tickets to this glorious event?

Tick tock, tick tock ... the clock is running as the 28th Sports Editor at The Trentonian since 1994 is set to assume the position today ... obviously the poor fellow in question has not read this thread, or maybe he does not care ... it all begins as a love-fest between the Sports Editor and management ... they may pat him on the back now and then, good job, 'ole boy ... then a box score gets in the paper that does not add up, or perhaps there is a miniscule typo in an AP story that one of the paginators did not catch ... and the 8 a.m. phone calls from the publisher begin ... tick tock, tick tock ... the Sports Editor then begins his descent into a living hell, from which there is no return ... the tiny mistakes snowball ... the phone calls become more frequent ... he is required to spend the entire night in the office, proofreading until his eyes blur ... and then there may be a suspension and/or outright firing, when the Sports Editor, dreams shattered, slinks out of the office a broken man ... oh how sad and terrible the life of a Sports Editor at The Trentonian can be!

How many times has the Trentonian been sued by someone who felt they were unfairly fired?

    Just asking.

  11. There are past cases of union action against The Trentonian on behalf of an employee that was unfairly fired and it is my understanding that the employee received a financial settlement each time. I never heard details about a similiar situation getting as far as a lawsuit.

I wish the new Sports Editor luck but really question his judgment. If the new Sports Editor is the same person that I believe it to be, this person should have known to stay away from The Trentonian. Without revealing names, it is my belief that this person is a former Trenton Times employee which means he should have personal knowledge of how awful The Trentonian is for sports section editors.

Scuttlebutt has it that this new Sports Editor is aware of the pitfalls which await him, but is taking the position primarily as a "resume enhancement."
