  1. Yeah, well, some capital-city, river-city rags are more interesting than others. ;)

This goes way, way beyond Trenton.

I know. It's funny how the mention of one paper can bring a 25-page thread. I mean, Trenton? That's in New Jersey, right?

I was just thinking the same thing. Every time I check the jobs board this thread is on top.

You can ignore the questionable news judgment and poor allocation of resources (including himself).

Despite reports that he is a "nice guy," Bracy has quickly proven worthy of being called just another JRC henchman in the fine tradition of Chuck Pukanecz, David Bonfield and Matt DeRienzo.

Word I've received is that at least 3/4 of the staff hate him already (he would probably be surprised if he knew who didn't).

Gee, wouldn't it be nice to know if the Princeton AD has someone in mind to come in?

    I'm just sayin' ...

Aaron is a big boy, and surely he knows the upstream trip he's making. If what is being written here is true, it sounds like his goal is to land on his feet with a reporting position somewhere and say he underestimated the management thing.

Given that he wasn't writing much in Camden, I would think that this provides him a better chance to land in a reporting role at his next stop.

while i hate jrc as much as the next guy, i don't think turning this into a bashing of every step/decision a journalist makes thread is fair, especially if he's not here to defend himself.

i think the aaron bashing should stop.

Sounds like you could be on to something.

EStreet, I have no inside knowledge. And, no, I'm not Aaron.

For as many people who bash Bracy's job, I'm sure many of those same people would love the opportunity -- I said opportunity, not job -- that taking over a nowhere-to-go-but-up sports section would provide. Personally, I'll pass. Been down that road before.

I'm just saying you're onto something with the more writing. Not the opportunity of running the section.
