    Poor Aaron!
He deserves a break today. I know a guy who used to give special "treatments" to Trentonian office decor. It wasn't just sports editors there but executive editors and even a few publishers as well. Perhaps Mr. Bracy could partake of one of these said "treatments." ... On a completely different topic, anyone like watersports?

    Enough is enough.
You don't live in the area. You have never seen the paper. You probably don't know where Trenton is. You come on here with assine comments. Give it a break and grow up.
As for Aaron. I say give him time to fuck up. He's on a bad ship and I'd like to see how well he does given time.

It doesn't appear that the people on that list found popularity with the staff to enhance their longevity in their leadership roles. Perhaps the wise move would be to first convince upper management that you are different from those who have gone before, and once that is accomplished, then loosen the reins a bit. Because what purpose does it serve to first woo the workers if that is going to cost you a chance to be around long enough to make a serious difference? As for what Aaron is making a priority, none of us are privy to his marching orders, so we do not know if the writing is his idea. The bashers here are being as shortsighted as the CEO -- he, too, judges managers on a very small body of work instead of looking at the bigger picture and letting them manage for the long haul.

Frank, I agree with you whole heartedly. There are people on here who have never seen the paper, don't live in the area, hell don't know where the Sam Hill Trenton is. I too am tired of the bashing.
I'd like to see Aaron, a youngster, do well. He has the ability IF the clowns in charge give him a chance.

  8. Boots, when I count to three you will wake up and no longer be under Frank Ridgeway's spell. 1, 2, 3!

Frank is a bad influence on you. You had at least begun to tone down the hardcore leave-Aaron-alone begging and even went out of your way to admit that your brother Aaron is not perfect (see above). You said he was a "jackass" and that he "sucks." Now you're saying you're tired of the bashing and want him to have a chance. Some minor hypocrisy there, cat. Don't let Frank and his online pity parties drag you back down into the give-Aaron-a-chance dance club.

Need to clear some things ear. As far as proofs are concerned, that's what they're there for, to catch mistakes. If Aaron doesn't realize that, then yes, he is a Jackass.
As a columnist. I am not impressed. The laziness shows in the copy. That's not being critical. That's being honest. His last column at the CP was proof of being lazy.
Ear, he's a kid. He hasn't been around long enough to know what he can and can't get away with. He has to learn. I'd like to see him in a few more years, then he may be what people call around here an effin stud.

  10. Okay boots, I know where you stand on the issue. Just saying, it seemed like you were falling back a bit.

The "youngster" category doesn't impress me too much. The cat's not 12 years old or 22 years old. He's gotta be 30-35. He was old enough to qualify for the job, so he's old enough to take some harmless online criticism. I will not be waiting a few years to criticize when I feel it is deserved. If he was so young that he wasn't ready to take over a sports section, maybe he shouldn't have taken or received the job. I get your point about the cat's age, maybe compared to most SE's at dailies, but that does not sway me.

He may be 30-35 but that doesn't mean he's got "experience." He's still paying dues. However, I am against laziness and as a writer, from what I've seen, he's been lazy. That's something he can easily improve upon.
