Alleged rape and talking out in class are miles apart.

If a crime of this nature is accused in a school, we call the police.

And did anyone for one nanosecond ever think they were any different?

Doesn't anyone have a picture of Stalin or Pol Pot so we can really zero in on how unfair this is?

Ben's lawyer says Goodell even tossed around the idea of an indefinite suspension:

Look, even Ben isn't whining about this - he's saying he's prepared to get the help he's been ordered to get "and then some."

I suggest some of you take your medicine, quit the damn whining and accept that the person in charge has the power to do this.

If you don't like it, don't watch. I'm sure the NFL will go on without you ... somehow.

The NFL is not generally seen as a league for crybabies.

What on Earth does this mean?

  8. Because the six-game suspesnion can be trimmed to four through good behavior, monitoring, evaluations, etc., etc.

So, in other words, doing what he's supposed to be doing.

Yeah, Goodell is really clamping down hard here.

Actually, no, I believe it was about public safety. The league did a 180 on the issue in 2009, and it was not simply a public relations stunt.

Sally and Soosie also didn't have $102 million contracts from a multi-billion dollar business. The personal; conduct policy isn't legislating morals, it's legislating what actions are good and bad for business. Aggressive behavior toward women and providing a nonstop stream of alcohol to minors, that's bad for business, that's a two-month headline the NFL doesn't want.

God help us if Paris gets a franchise. :)
