It's not that confusing. They virtually did nothing. The episode was like four innings of baseball followed by eight inches of rain. They'll start back in the first inning Sunday.

They voted to evict James. He walked out and talked to Julie, who explained what was about to transpire. Then she told the remaining house guests they had to vote either to bring James back or to bring back whoever viewers voted for.

They didn't know who voters wanted to bring back. Ryan, of course, voted to bring back the viewer's choice. He was hoping for Jen or even his former teammate to come back. Matt pulled the same string. I assume he wanted Alex back. It goes without saying that Chelsia wanted to bring back James. Josh was probably afraid they'd bring back Amanda or Allison. So he voted to bring back James. That made it 2-2. Natalie voted with Matt. I'm not sure who she wanted to bring back. Then Sharon, possibly fearful that her ex-boyfriend would return, voted to bring back James. That former Penthouse playmate and her former teammate sealed the deal when they voted to bring back James.

So James returned, and they started the next HoH competition. We'll see who won on Sunday. If James wins it, I'll be shocked. That would spell doom for Matt and Ryan, I believe.

I'm not sure there's much conniving this season. Just lots of sniveling and douchebaggery. But the bird brain part has never been more of a lock.
