At the time you posted that, I was out ... getting a fucking haircut (thanks, Bubbler, for the SportsJournalists.com Catchphrase of the Year).

Early Christmas spirit.

That's right, you can start too damned early with this crap.

Malls start putting up their Christmas decorations before Election Day. Major retailers (I won't name WalMart, Target, Sears/Kmart, JCPenney or anybody else by name, but you know who I'm talking about) have their Christmas sections open Nov. 1.

And now we have TV networks showing Christmas specials --- like the ageless Charlie Brown Christmas --- before it's even December on the calendar.

This has to stop, and we have to stop it right now! If this trend continues, not only will we see Christmas sales starting before Labor Day, but more importantly, we'll see people losing the meaning of Christmas because it's being shoved down their throats the day after Flag Day!

No Christmas before Dec. 1! It's the only way to save the true meaning of Christmas!
