Does Bill Simmons even mention Title IX in his column about fixing sports (specifically basketball)

I don't know why, but I laughed out loud at the word "gratifying". I have this picture of Xan sitting there with arms folded, not saying a word, as this 10-year-old went crying to his daddy. A self-satisfied, "bend over bitch!" look etched on Xan's unapologetic face.

    Gratifying.

Indeed. The kid chortled when I made a move midway through the game thinking he was going to check my ass soon. I'm an unorthodox chess tactician and like to fuck with the other player sometimes. I knew what I was doing. I don't mind sacrificing a castle to a pawn. I'm doing it for a reason. So the little fucktard took my castle with his pawn and put me in check. I got out of it with a move then mated his little ass 10-12 moves later. That's why it was gratifying. The reason I lost to the 25-year-old woman in the next game is because she was smokin' hot in her summer tank-top with her lovely breasts. I was thinking about a totally different type of mate.

Edit: If anyone wants to play chess on Yahoo, PM me.

Both Xan and this thread never cease to amaze. Thanks for the laughs.

  4. Just to point out - Bill Simmons Likes Lamp - seems to be the runaway winner in the poll

Ah, Castleton. Forever immortalized in the so-bad-it's-good movie "Tangents."

Also if anyone is in Worcester and is interested in some great sea food - go to the Sole Proprietor which is across from the Boyton

Not so fast, Chris_L. Williams owns Holy Cross in men's hoops. It leads the alltime series 5-2 and won just three seasons ago, when the Ephs beat Ralph Willard's boys in Worcester 78-71 early in '03-'04. Of course, that was a loaded Williams team (defending Div III national champs, lost in the finals that season) that sent a player to the NBA vs. a relatively down HC team. But facts are facts.

(Fuller disclosure: The Williams guy "in" the NBA works for the Celtics' front office, and the other six games in the series took place between 1902-'31.)

Is that middle eastern resturant still around Worcester that looks like a castle - I forget exactly where it is but it was up on a hill and served pretty good humas.

Be the perfect spot for sj sit down.

Way back when in DC, you could buy pot from Manoosh's hot dog truck near the GW campus.

The El Morocco went to the great casbah in the sky about seven or eight years ago. It was a throwback (all those pictures of B-list celebs on the wall), sort of like Bishop's in Lawrence, but they served good Middle Eastern food right up to the end. The view from the patio would have been fantastic if the city below had been, you know, picturesque.

I may have to take Xan up on this one. I might get slaughtered because I'm rusty as all get out, but at least I can analyze another unorthodox style ...
