    And the choir went...
I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
    And even though
    It all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

jgamcg has his posters, I have random music lyrics.

What a load of self-serving, genuflecting crap.

I do agree with this part, though:

How much research did you do, Scooper? Seems like your first column you researched hanging out breathlessly with your heroes. This column seems like you read a couple papers and reacted. Is that what you would call diligent?

At least the mob had better music. I'll put Frank Sinatra up against any gansta rapper any day.

Interesting Scoop column. Why he thinks the NHL All-Star weekend has any validity as a basis of comparison is way beyond me. I doubt that game has any cache or strong symbolic meaning of any kind for anybody.

That's what he wants to believe, and that's really sad. There are plenty of young black people in America who aren't into gangbanging.

J_W identified a group. Scoop just took it upon himself to open that definition up to an entire race.

Scoop's column has given me an idea. I've spoken with the boys over on the NASCAR thread and they agree as well. The Gangbangers need a summer event to go with their winter convention at NBA All Star Weekend.

I am suggesting that NASCAR open the gates to the gangbangers for the Coca Cola 600 on May 27. This is a win win situation. NASCAR has been looking for ways to promote diversity and the gangbangers need a venue for warm weather gathering.

    Nice, Boom.
I'm sure the 9000 Confederate flags that wave at the average NASCAR race -- talk about symbols of violence --will add a certain je ne sais quoi to the proceedings.

What ?? I thought that NASCAR no longer allowed the display of confederate flags at their events.

I'm pretty sure the 1861 car driven by Robert E. Lee has a confederate flag decal.
