I have no issue with people visiting and trying to contribute something to the discussion. It's on them if they came just to challenge Whitlock, but he has been asking to be challenged. Maybe when these rooks are finished with him, they'll stick around. I'll take a Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat from the newbies.

Either way, anyone who pulls out a Mr. Fantastic reference when telling someone they're reaching, is someone whose posts I'll be glad to read more of.

At least these dudes are real people who want to rip Whitlock. Not a figment of someone's imagination like Sportsbruh.

Wonder why you rarely hear "Fight the Power"? Because the government placed it on a banned list of songs.

Hip Hop has transformed Amerikka. And no over-weight shock and awe has-been journalist can change that.

The reason you don't hear "Fight the Power" is because the song is 17 years old.

As for the government banning the song, the Library of Congress selected that album for preservation. I don't think it would select an album that contains a "banned" song.

This world needs more Chuck D., less Flavor Flav.

Um, how did that song stop police brutality? I dunno, advocating violence against cops doesn't seem to be the best way to make cops nicer, if that is perceived to be a problem. The move to stop profiling began long before that song came out.

If you don't think he came over here, BEFORE the CJR post went up, a post that did not criticize what he said but, rather, the fact that he said two different things in two different places, so that the people who loved his column would say -- again -- that they loved his column, you're not paying any kind of attention.
