Anyone have an application for a race card? My credit is somewhat flawed and I heard the card is a real door opener.

And Bill, if you're reading this, I think you and Scoop did a better job of researching than the person who penned the Black KKK reference.

Some of us take umbridge to that reference being thrown out there so carelessly.

It was on his "Basketball Blog," so I doubt it. Of course, given the myriad mistakes in damn near every Page 2 column, they're probably focusing more on design there.

You know what's funny Boom? Have you ever been trully interested in finding these solutions? Have you ever taken a keen interest on these type of matters on your own? Can you explain to me how the man you're riding for request to move the All Star game as suggested solves anything.

I do not have the means to give a solution. I do however have the means to look at the root causes of why theres an outbreak of the disease of ignorance in our community, a community you damn well know you never gave one ioda about in the first place showing your mock concern in this little internet pissing contest.

Get over yourself, you're not interested in hearing solutions anyway. You're more interested in winning an argument over the internet.

You guys actually buy into Bill's pig headedness as if HE knows where someones concern should lie? He's the all knowing, and going against his rules results in pitting one black writer against the other.

Actually, Chee, you might be surprised to find how lightly Simmons is regarded around here. He's been a particular target of the board's collective heckling for years.

Just because we don't point out the specific flaws in a given piece, like this one, doesn't mean that we agree with him. More likely, given the perception in these parts that he's a flyweight humorist and perpetual adolescent, we're just not bothering to ridicule this piece in particular.

As 21 said, it's a rebuttal to a rebuttal to a rebuttal - nearly meaningless in a serious debate about race, and not very meaningful as a piece of sports writing, either. Please don't mistake our relative silence for agreement.

Maybe it was just to pile on, but I think it is good that he took the shots at Scoop, especially the Ralph Wiley ones. I also wonder how/if he was approved by management to ridicule another writer of the same publication.
