Without revealing too many spoilers ... episode seven (which only has Jane/Eleven from the original cast) is quite the love it/loathe it part of the new season.

I liked it because it gave us an indication of: 1. the extent of someone's supernatural powers, and 2. the limits she must consider in using them.

Of course, it also gives the Stranger Things producers an easy storyline they can return to in Season 3.

Oh, and props to Jonathan ... about damn time!;)

Just about done with Man From The High Castle on Amazon. I'm a history nerd, so I find it fascinating and really appreciate the production design and melding of aesthetics.....and yeah, I know it's based on a book - just wished it moved a bit faster and the characters were a little more likable and less stupid.

Was there more than 2 seasons? I loved the first and lost interest part way through the second. I just never had a desire to finish it or explore if they went further.

Just started s2. it's been renewed for a third. It's in a weird place, like an awkward conspiracy thriller where none of the characters are certain which direction they should go. One of those shows that feels like it should have a "ticking clock" but there isn't one.

I've been watching Manhunt on Netflix about the FBI agent who caught the Unabomber. If the FBI is still so rigid in its orthodoxy as this show and MindHunter make it out to be, it's a wonder it ever gets anything done.

Anyway, I'm meh on Manhunt, but I'm five or six episodes in, so I reckon I'll finish the season.

It wasn't until I listened to some podcasts that I realized that people hated that episode so much. I kind of agree with some of the criticism - it took us away from the main thrust of the season, late in the season - but I like when shows take chances or do weird bottle / spin-off episodes. It did definitely feel like one of those old backdoor pilots though, like when Murder She Wrote just started showing CBS drama one-offs.

Just started Bojack Horseman. Began at Season 2 based on something I read; three episodes in, and liking it so far.

I watched that for a couple seasons until an episode absolutely offended me, and I haven't watched another since.
