I think he still has a couple of years of eligibility left. He can sure throw, and he moves better than Kodi Burns.

Maybe they will bring back Tony Franklin as HC.

My favorite 2007 bowl matchup: Auburn 20, Clemson 17 (OT) in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Both coaches - Tommy Tuberville and Tommy Bowden - had just signed contract extensions less than a month before the game.
11 months later, both are gone, and the schools paid a combined $9.5 million to do so ($6 million to Tubs, $3.5 million to Bowden). Clemson finished 7-5 (under Dabo Swinney's watch), Auburn 5-7.
    Aren't boosters' short memories wonderful?
Yes, Bowden got pushed out because he had a boatload of talent and didn't take advantage of it.
But Tubs' exit puzzles me - and I find it quite ironic that their last bowl game came against each other.

Nick Saban deriding others for never being satisfied??? Now that's rich!

He did say something about "people in this room" — meaning the media. But as I said, it's the money, not just the media that drives up expectations.

  6. Seems more like coincidence than ironic.

I really don't think I'm exaggerating by thinking that is one of the dumbest fucking firings in college football history.

Unless he was arrested for child pornography or pissed on the Auburn president's desk, this makes absolutely no sense.

I almost went to Auburn, and I've always loved watching games down there (one of the most underrated college football scenes, in my opinion), but this is absolutely a case of Bama penis envy.

And the penis with envy is Bobby Lowder

That, Hammer, and some of the big-wigs down there just never really liked Tuberville.

I'm not going to look it up, but how many coaches have won more games in the past five years than Tubs? I doubt it's more than 10.

And Jordan-Hare on a Saturday in September is spectacular.

SEC West schools and the "tenure" of the current head football coach:

    Auburn: position vacant.
    Mississippi State: position vacant.
Ole Miss: Houston Nutt, first year.
    Arkansas: Bobby Petrino, first year.
    Alabama: Nick Saban, second year.
    LSU: Les Miles, fourth year.

Just hit me. That's pretty amazing.

I hope Auburn becomes the Syracuse of the SEC. Tubs is a good guy and doesn't deserve this and their AD should be taken out and shot for not taking a stand here.

Who the fuck are they going to bring in who will do any better? Leach? Not coming. Paul Johnson? Not coming. Bobby Petrino? Not coming.

I'd like to see Tuberville in Starkville so he can have the chance to shove it up Lowder's ass once a year.
