Wonder how many more in various universities agree with her, but are less outspoken.

I can't be certain, of course, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't going to be tenured. Her research record is simply not comparable -- not even in the ballpark -- with those of folks that recently have been tenured there. The article says the department supported her, but being "supported" probably just means she got a majority in her favor. Usually you need a unanimous (or damn-near-unanimous) vote at the departmental level, and the votes begin going more and more against you as you go up the hierarchy.

She's probably done herself a psychic favor; now, rather than having to face having not measured up, she can take comfort in her delusion that she was just too heroic.

And she can cash in on that delusion to write a book about her "traumatic" experience and how she was railroaded by a corrupt system, sprinkled in with whatever batshit crazy views and theories she wants to espouse. All while a very large audience nods their heads in agreement and praises her for her courage.

Yes, dumb person with record of saying dumb things says something else dumb. Film at 11.
Meanwhile the Panama Papers and 28 redacted pages from the 9/11 report implicating Saudi Arabia slowly slip from the news cycle.
