Schottey -- I admire your passion. Once upon a time a lot of us had that, but now our eyes have been opened.

Allow me to impart some advice: The business might grow and do very well. You will not. Right now the Bleacher Report business plan is being implemented, and that plan calls for employees to make $14,400. If there is suddenly an influx of money, that money will go into the pockets of the investors and not the employees. When low-cost labor is a central feature of the business plan, that is not going to change.

You are an illiterate moron. I'm amazed you're not on Bleacher Report. It's the perfect match.

That says it all when your friends say "who cares". They don't care either way if B/R succeeds or fails. BTW, where would you get YouTube clips for your blog if the mainstream media went out of business.

    I'm betting you don't have a degree.

Oh, I'd say there are some who care ... those whose stories have been lifted WFW or slighty rewritten and presented as original work by a BR "reporter." Oh, and $14.4K per year? That's right up there with "Pickers wanted in California," isn't it?

I don't have a degree and u don't need one to write in 2011. I don't even get the videos from mainstream media so it would not affect my blog at all!! The mainstream media has been known to "steal" my videos and post them up or link them on their articles! I get most of my videos and news from Facebook when friends share cool videos and posts.

B/R only offering 14,400 for that one particular job but I'm sure other employees make a lot more so no worries there for them. I'm sure their engineers and top guys are making good competitive money.

I'd write something insightful, but I'm too busy putting together a slideshow of places I'd never work.

Poor analogy. The proper analogy would be the Chick-Fil-A Atlanta Journal-Constitution Sports Section. Any time you give advertising the right to change the name of a section, it's obvious you're selling out.

You don''t need a degree to write. I can also guess why you probably don't have a real job. Looking at your blog, are local news stations or ESPNU not mainstream media? I must be missing something.

It's clear that your here to stir the pot, because you made the original post knowing the reaction it would get.

Where's Andy Auger? We need him to chime in.

As far as the top guys getting more money, good for them for creating a business of exploiting people who don't know better.

I realize it's pretty ignorant of the bashers of B/R on this thread to keep on stating their opinions on all things B/R when they are totally wrong according to the B/R employee! They just don't get it.

It's not my job to educate them or the B/R employee's. THey keep on bashing my website too and they don't even know what kind of traffic I produce or where I get my videos or interviews or articles.

It doesn't matter that I don't have a college degree. I know my sports, I know SEO, I know how to get traffic to my sites, and earn a decent enough living while still growing and learning and getting better day by day and month to month. The future is bright for the likes of B/R and for my websites as well.
