That's astounding. And not in a good way.

Blood in the streets of town of New Haven. Blood stains the roofs and the palm trees of Venice.
And about everywhere else in this county. Great Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes tonight on the plight of newspaper and their relevance as the most reliable source of legitimate journalism.

Anyone else hear the rumors of another bloodletting to come in Baltimore this week?

Good Christ, there really is nothing left to cut. David Smon's vision of foundering corporate journalism is a love letter compared to the reality of what Zell has wrought.

Yes. Lots of quiet panic in Charm City, apparently. I am hearing Tuesday. But the source isn't totally sure of the day.

The Sun is a shell of its former self. And this isn't going to help.

Unintentional foreshadowing, courtesy of McIntyre's copy-editing blog?
Sigh ... As usual, good thoughts and best wishes to those affected ...

I've met about half these people, and it's absurd for them to virtually be escorted out to the street.
At this point, why are they (Tribune) even bothering? Same goes for the advertisers.
