Barry Bonds has never been popular outside of Pittsburgh (for a short time) and San Fran now. His arrogance preceded the steroids speculation. Aaron for all the death threats and other vile letters handled the whole thing with class.

Recall Aaron's televised comments after 715: "I just thank God it's all over."

Bonds' predicted response: "Look at me world! Do it or kiss my ass!"

 

Given this thread's late, terrible turn, all Websters everywhere weep.

Most as a skinny-ass kid, 34 in 1992. Average until then: 25.

1993: First year in SF, 46.
