Mr. FEMA Director, one final question: If you had to rate your awesomeness in handling this matter on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate yourself, understanding that anything less than 10 is too low.

 

That is simply horrid.

 

Everytime I think it's overreaching to say this administration does something "Orwellian," they go and truly DO do something that makes that term seem like it doesn't go far enough. It's not enough to simply refuse to answer questions at real press conferences. We have to stage pressers now and tell us "all is well" with actors playing the part of reporters.

How long before they start telling us we've always been at war with Iran?

 

There's nothing to call a completely staged press conference other than:

1. Really, really stupid.

2. Orwellian.

I mean, come the fuck on. Why not just hire Baghdad Bob?
