I must admit, I had heard about how good it was but kept forgetting to tune in until about hal way through this season, maybe a ew episodes before. Then I immediately was hooked.

Now I'm going to have withdrawal until the summer. I actually had a good rhythm going with The Paciic on HBO and then jumping over to AMC for BB.

I thought it was a great ending. Much, much better than last season's Six Degrees Of Separation denouement that came out of the clear blue sky.

I actually did not think he aimed away from Gail. The camera pan does give that impression, but I thought Jesse whacked him.

Initially, when it seemed Walt gave up Jesse, I wanted Mike to shoot Walt right then and there. It seemed a total slimeball move, and even given Walt's knowledge of his own leverage, I still wouldn't totally put it past him to run Jesse over with the bus.

Anyhow, I come out of this season far more satisfied than last season.

And by the way ... Mike is a total bad ass.

I was happy to see Gale return, only to be bummed to see him die at the end. I thought he was gonna be a main character next season.

    Anybody watch Rubicon? Worth it?

David Costabile, the actor who played Gale, was the sleazy newspaper editor in The Wire.

Great end to a great season. Gus and Mike have just found out that Walt is smarter than both of them .

I also like the fact that Vince Gilligan admits he has no idea what's going to happen in the next season. No master plan like the writers claimed in "Lost".

And don't you just want to cheer when the pork pie hat comes out and Heisenberg is back?

One of the most tragic things about Gale getting killed is, in the end, it's futile and pointless.
So what if Walt gets a temporary reprieve from the gallows? Once he starts cooking again he's going to need an assistant, and Gus sure as hell won't let it be Jesse. Is Walt going to keep killing his assistants? Gus obviously already sees Walt as either a threat, or as more of a liability than an asset. Sooner or later in Season 4 he's going to get a midnight visit from Mike, who is quickly making The Cousins look like boy scouts.

He's obviously going to have to keep Walt as a prisoner, And Walt can always refuse to cook without Jesse's safety. He knows about the investment Gus put in and he knows he's dead anyway.

Where have the cops been lately? After what's his face got shot there has been no progress made? Or is it that the illusion? I think I have a great idea how this ends. It involves Hank's partner.

I'm actually rooting for next season to be the final one. No need to overstay the plotline. We all know Walt is going to perish in the final scene. Don't stretch it thin.

Was it just me or was Rubicon preposterously bad? The whole thing played out like National Treasure 3 with A Beautiful Mind: Electric Boogaloo.

That's right!!! He also played the cuckholded husband on Flight of the Conchords.

I'll be wondering right up until the end of the final episode if there's a way for Walt to live.

Maybe some kind of weird farewell as he and the family enter the Witness Protection Program -- with somebody seeing something that just keeps it open ended?

By the way, some great funny lines early last night, mostly during Mike's assault of the -- whatever it was...

Mike's a great character. Just an inflappable, world-weary son of a bitch who can go from doting grandpa to ice-cold assassin when it's time to go to work. Just a man who's very good at his job, punching the clock. It was interesting to see him be largely sympathetic to Walt for most of this episode, including when Walt is begging for his life in the laundromat, yet be perfectly willing to put a bullet in Walt's head as just the last thing to check off his "to do" list for the night.

As for an ending, how about Walt's decapitatated head riding down the highway on top of the Aztek?

I loved Jonathan Banks as Frank McPike in "Wiseguy," and it's funny now when I go back and read some things about that show where Banks talked about developing "a good guy that you just don't like," considering in BB he plays a bad guy that you like.
