Aaron Paul on Jay Leno last night. Skip ahead to the 6-minute mark, where they show footage of his appearance as a contestant on the Price Is Right when he was 18 years old (he's 32 now):

    #!

    Great stuff.

Here's Gus Fring on Seasame Street.

I guess the blue stuff was originated by Cookie Monster and the idea for Los Pollos Hermanos was conceived by Big Bird.

    Awesome.

Speaking of Esposito, he seemed genuinely thrilled at his Emmy nomination, which was cool to see.

I've admired his work for a long time (though not as far back as Sesame Street). He was excellent as the narcotics cop on The Usual Suspects.

"I look like I was on meth."

  6. Aaron Paul is awesome. Really seems like a good, down to Earth dude. And he can act his ass off. I really hope he gets some great opportunities in the future when BB is over.

Once again, Walter White shows what an evil motherfucker he is.
First with Jesse, making the poor guy break down in tears and apologize to him -- for something Jesse was 150 percent right about! Manipulation at its finest.
Then, another chilling final scene with Skyler where he's literally the devil on her shoulder. Great job in that scene by Anna Gunn, too. Without saying a word, and with only two brief scenes this episode, she showed she has a bright future as the star of Lifetime Network movies once Breaking Bad wraps.

Man, was it good to see Jonathan Banks in full badass mode tonight (tempered by his caring grandfatherly side, as well...whenever he has a cute heartwarming scene with his granddaughter you just know that some bad business will shortly follow...)

    Great episode this evening.

  9. The episode was fantastic. Just me, or was the scene with Walt (or Heisenberg) and his infant in there to make the Walt fans think there may still be some chance he's good? I came into this season with the hope that Walt might still be in there somewhere, and I can't help but think that Gilligan knows there's a huge segment of the viewer base with the same thinking. That one scene gave me that feeling that maybe, just maybe, there's some way Heisenberg could sneak out of this.

Then again, there were at least three scenes this week that seemingly dashed that idea against the rocks. Also, as a side note, I think the Mike and Hank characters are being excellently played so far this season. I suppose you could say that about the whole show, though.

  10. Great episode and a very Mike-centric episode which was great to see. I find his character fascinating and it was good to get some of his backstory in the scene with Hank. Very curious to see where it all goes from here with Mike back in the mix and the most experienced in terms of running a drug ring of the group.

That Mike interrogation scene was such a Breaking Bad scene. Great dialogue, rising tension, and tre-men-dous acting.

Mike always looks so annoyed by all of the BS around him and just reluctant to be in the situations because he knows just how serious this shit is. Characters like Walt have so much hubris that you don't see it. Mike knows what's up. Kickass scene with that guy hired by the Madrigal woman.
    "Are you ready?"
    "Mike, I-"
    (tap, tap tap, tap)

Power and greed have totally overtaken Walt (duh). When everyone is looking in the other direction, he's still dead set on making money and owning the streets because he knows he can. Again, hubris.

The final scene with Walt and Skylar was so uncomfortable.

Walt Jr. had a breakfast scene!

Yeah, that scene with Walt and Skylar was creepy as hell. He's such a scumbag now, I love it. Gotta love Saul too with his "How about we quit while we're ahead" speech. Scared out of his mind.
Of course, I'll second everyone's comments on Mike. Just a phenomenal job.
