Did I write it down correctly?

"Everyone dies in this movie, don't they?"

That's a little, how you say, foreshadowing ...

So Walt, whose hubris and arrogance knows no bounds figures he can control Mike, but figures out pretty quickly that Mike's in charge. The divvy up of the money scene was spectacular.

Mike's line, "Just because you shot Jesse James doesn't make you Jesse James." pretty much sums up the relationship

Walt is downright scary now. He talks Jesse into dumping his girlfriend and seems ready to take on Mike.

Should be five more good episodes this summer.

Taking on Mike would be a death sentence.

First notices Esposito in Homicide. He had a tough act following Andre Braugher but going toe to toe with Yaphet Kotto (who played his dad and his boss) was good stuff.
Couple things. Walt looked like he was taking medicine in the first ep of season, so I'm guessing the big C makes a comeback. And more importantly, - they start the season "free and clear" more or less. If they go back to making the "blue" won't that tip off the narcs that there is still someone out there they need to get?

  7. People would have said the same thing about Gus, Tuco, etc. Walt can't take any of them on in a head up kind of way but using his brain, he can take on anyone, especially with Jesse there as his pawn.

Probably. But there's always going to be meth on the streets. Hank and his DEA buddies will realize it's probably one of Gus' old cooks and pick up the scent, which they're already on just by chasing down the remnants of Gus' operation.
Plus, Walt is too damn cocky -- and too damn broke -- at this point to give up cooking. He thinks he's untouchable by anyone right now, that he can control anything in his world. That'll work up to the point where his identity is discovered by the DEA and he gets some of the real world business lessons Mike knows so well.

I love this show. I fucking love it. Everything about that episode last night was full of win.

    The Walt-Brock moment. Absolutely chilling.

Walt talking Jesse into dumping his girlfriend was incredibly cold. On the surface it seems like he's just being honest with Jesse and trying to relate the toughness of his situation to what Jesse could have. But he's not doing him a favor with advice. He's setting him up. He's conning him. With the girlfriend and her boy out of the picture, that means Jesse will be solely focused on the business. Walt's business. Absolutely disgusting, Walter White.

Then Walt telling Marie that Skylar broke down was brought on my her own actions. That shit was evil.

Vince Gilligan was not lying when he said he wants us to hate Walt.

The in-show AMC promo for Mob Week (the family watching Scarface) was fairly cheesy. Other than that it was a good episode.

  11. I think the takeaway from the Scarface scene is the line "everybody dies in this movie."

Also - Mike got back into the game because the DEA seized the $2 million for his grand-daughter. It would only take 15 cooks at $137k per cook to make that back - so Mike could be whole and out after 6 months at that rate.

The kid on the pest control team who found the nannycam is going to be "encouraged" to overlook one at some point (or he's going to try to muscle in on the action). They wouldn't have given him a speaking part otherwise.
