I'm trying to figure out how I feel about the scene of Walt and Brock on the couch (apart from GET AWAY FROM THE BAD MAN, BROCK!!!!!). Was that relief from Walt that the kid didn't recognize him, or just unease at being so close to a kid he poisoned? Just flat out giving the kid Lily-of-the-Valley berries in a way Brock might remember seems way too risky if he expects it won't kill the boy, but I can't figure out how else he would've been sure Brock ate them.

Yeah, I thought the "Scarface" scene was foreshadowing the scene in the season opener with the M60 in Walt's trunk. Scarface was the king, then fell hard.
@printit - A friend and I discussed the Victor speech and came to the conclusion Walt was suggesting to Jesse that trying to be the good guy will get you killed, even with a mistake. Victor messed up in Gale's apartment, tried to make amends by cooking a batch and had his throat slit.
Don't know if that scenario plays, but I was confused by the Victor speech as well.

Skyler's freak-out had been bubbling to the surface in the first two episodes. She is utterly terrified of Walt. I think this season has been her best acting.

The Scarface scene was a bit too on-the-nose for my taste. It's obvious that's where Walt is at at this point. No reason to hit us over the head with it.

As for the stuff with Walt and Jesse, Walt is so incredibly manipulative. It's both impressive and disgusting with how smooth he is. However, if he tries to take on Mike, that will absolutely be the beginning of the end. Walt has no sense of just how much Mike does to make everything run smoothly.

Landry Clarke is already a hardened criminal, what with him killing Tyra's attacker in Season 2 of FNL. His turn to a life of crime with a group of bug bombers is not unexpected.

I've forgotten but how exactly did Walt poison Brock?

I'm guessing Landry and Epic meet up for lunches to chat about Dillon and their criminal lifestyles.

No one knows exactly, but during one scene last season, you can see Saul's secretary shredding documents. If you look closely, one is Brock's school schedule. So presumably Saul's goons did it.

Speaking of Saul's goons, I adore Huell and I'm glad he's staying around this season.

Huell can sleep standing up. Impressive.

re: Brock's poisoning - It hasn't been made clear, but I think it will be soon.

The best part about the whole Marie-Skylar scene was that I was sitting there watching the show and when Marie was talking I said out loud, "Fuck Marie. Shut. Up." And then Skylar rips into it. Fucking fantastic.

  12. I did the exact same thing. Marie is by far the most annoying character on the show.
