"Shut up and let me die in peace." I'm gonna miss you, Mike.

Actually, it was "Shut the fuck up."

  6. Damn. I mean, I knew that was coming but that was not cool. I really hate Heisenberg.

As soon as I saw the gun in the bag and the fact it was 9:56, I knew Mike was in trouble. I really thought Walt (is it even still appropriate to call him Walt?) would finish him off out of spite, though.

And was that the same stretch of stream where Hank tossed away Tuco's grille? Mike skipping rocks reminded me of Hank doing the same, or something similar, way back in Season 2.

Can anyone explain how Mike managed to, not only escape from the surrounded park, but to also retrieve his surrounded brown beater?

The beater wasn't at the park, his Caddy was.

So what happens when Todd gets up to speed on the cook? I bet he tries to kill Walt. Something didn't sit right when he refused to talk money

  11. No doubt about it, if you ask me.

The entire dynamic of that episode seemed to be setting up Walt. From the "say my name," to the scene with Jesse where he can't believe he'd walk away because he's the best at something, to demanding thanks from Mike multiple times, it's clear Walt desperately wants recognition for his skill and expertise. Then the Landy character (Todd?) comes in and cooks with him and thinks he can learn how to do it after a couple cooks.

Walt reassures him it will take a long time, but it seemed pretty clear that was just another conflict brewing from that scene.

That was not a strong episode.
