I think Hank's career in the DEA is done if this ever comes out, largely because of the PR shitstorm it would be, but if he diligently pursued the investigation I can see him being let go with his pension intact - if he's put the right number of years in - and he could do OK for himself in private security/PI work. Like Mike, minus the working for drug lords.

See, I don't know. If Hank builds a strong case with enough evidence to take down Walt, I could see him offering to step down because of his relationship to Walt and the DEA head bosses using it as an opportunity to tout how their best DEA agent was so good he cracked the case DESPITE it being his brother-in-law.

Hank could easily toss all of the events/clues in the first two seasons as signs pointing to Tuco/Jesse, all the events/clues of the third and fourth season as signs pointing to Gus and everything in season five as finally pointing to Walt.

That's a little too nuanced, imo, and involves all of the things *we* know.

Someone higher up, or in the press, is going to look at it a lot more black and white.

"The guy in charge of the investigation was the kingpin's brother-in-law. He took massive amounts of drug money from him in order to pay his medical bills."

They aren't going to let that go easily, no matter how reasonable the explanation is once you know all the facts.

    Sunday evening:

Ms. SixToe: "So we have to wait a year for the second half of the final season of Breaking Bad?"

    Me: "Yes."

    Her: "Well, that sucks."

On Pajiba today I read "The 7 Dumbest Things a TV Character Can Do" and thought I'd share this one ... :D

Associate With Walter White In Any Way Shape Or Form Whatsoever: You may think the tremendous body count on “Breaking Bad” has everything to do with the drug trade…but you’d be wrong. First of all, did you know the death count on this show is over TWICE what it was on “The Wire”? You’d think Baltimore would be a riskier place than Albuquerque. But the vacuum suck of tragedy around Walter White is so vast, so inescapable, that it pulls planes out of the very sky. So while he continues to spiral ever downward, I’d advise everyone to stay away from him, from New Mexico, from the airspace over New Mexico, from the adjacent states and nations and, while you’re at it, Czech Republic.

Forgive me. I haven't watched Season 5 nor have I read any of this thread. I just streamed 1-4 on Netflix in, like a month, and I'm kind of hooked. Please help me, I don't know what to do.

Please, someone tell me, based on AMC history, will they repeat the first part of Season 5 at some point? I'm trying to stay away from the Google and the like because I'm trying to avoid spoilers of any kind.

I can't even put into words what I have just watched the last few days.

    That is all, thank you.

Well, according to Wikipedia, the rest of Season 5 will air in the summer so, chances are, you'll have plenty of time between now and then to catch up. My advice would be to either buy the season on iTunes, wait for it on Netflix or keep your eye on AMC and watch for Season 5 episodes to air.
