Here are my predictions for what happens to each character, in short:

    Walt: Dead.

Hank: He breaks some sort of rule in chasing Walt and ends up getting fired when he takes his findings to his bosses, too late to do anything already.

Skyler: She figures she's lost all the seized money but finds that Walt left her just enough to pay for the kids' college funds and a few other things, probably something in the range of what he set out to leave her with in the very beginning.

Saul: He comes away clean and gets an offer to be on a reality show.

Jesse: This is the toughest one. I think he probably has a moment where he can get away scot-free but decides to help Walt out instead and ends up going to jail for a long time.

Marie: Does anyone even care anymore? She will wear purple.

Walt Jr.: Still can't walk right.

So now Hank knows and Walt knows that he knows.

Where do we go from here?

Tremendous episode for Dean Norris. He plays blind rage about as well as anyone since James Gandolfini.

Great callback to Gus when Walt was talking to Lydia at the carwash. Very similar to the conversation Walt and Gus once had in the chicken restaurant.

And I think Walt uses the ricin on himself, so that he doesn't have to rot in prison in the event his machine gun plan doesn't work.

I still enjoy seeing Badger and Skinny Pete's comic relief.

Any fears that Gilligan would screw up these last eight episodes are gone in my mind. We thought everything that happened tonight would take eight episodes....the story almost any normal procedural would tell. Now it's set up to give us the twists we don't expect over the next seven episodes.

And Norris was awesome. A showcase episode for him.

Everything after that garage door closed is Emmy-winning stuff for both Norris and Cranston.

It was almost like a season-ending, cliff hanger type conclusion to the episode. Definitely set the bar high. If they bring that level for the next seven weeks it's going to be a hell of a final ride.

The remote control car in the final scene. I don't know what it meant, or what exactly it added to the scene, but there was just something about it that was compelling and slightly unnerving.

That scene was a little too fan-service-y for me. As great as the zombie Nazis conversation was and as great as the Star Trek one could have been in the correct context, this seemed misplaced.

    The opening was awesome...

    "Hello Carol..."

I don't think Walt will kill Hank. I could see someone else doing it though...

I've never seen the show, not even for 60 seconds. Having participated in other TV threads on here over the years (Mad Men, Sopranos), and having witnessed the reaction to this show from the outside, I'm curious:

Is this a series that has gotten stronger? Is its arc still going up? Certainly seems that way based on my quite unscientific observation of the show's fans.

I think it peaked during Season 4, which in my opinion was the best season of TV of any show I've ever seen...

Has it slipped since? Yeah, last season wasn't as good, but it was still pretty great.

It's my favorite show of all-time.
