Probably not, as Cranston's show was not set in the New York area. They have won the same number of Emmys, though.

    So, asking for a buddy...um, a buddy's wife...

Let's say she didn't see last week's epi and wants to see it before tomorrow's epi 2. Any idea where she might find it lurking on the Internets?

At the end of last season, after Walter said he was out, I kind of figured either he and/or Jesse would have to cook again at some point because of pressure from Declan or the Czechs.
Looks like it's going to be the Czechs.

I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, but I don't see how you got that from what just happened. Todd was brought in to cook. That was clear.

Anyway, I find Todd and Lydia and that entire side of this story line to be pretty problematic and hope they shed more light on how exactly Walt got "out" without anyone demanding he stay in. Why would they sacrifice his essential cooking skills?

Then again, complaining about any contrivance beyond Walt Whitman seems pointless.

I liked this episode more than last. I'm sure that puts me in the minority. That was the best Skyler episode ever.

I'm with you. I liked it better too. And I agree that Leaves Of Grass is a deus ex machina that went a bit beyond the pale.

Skyler, as much as we've all hated her at various stages of the show, has always been the character one should sympathize with. Now that's finally coming to the fore a bit. She's being strong for her family with plenty of CYA mixed in too of course.

I don't recall, but was it ever made clear what was done with Mike's body? Was he disposed of chemically like the others? Or was he left by the river, Slim Pickens-in-Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid-style?

If he was left by the river, I think his body turning up is the tipping point with Jesse, whose angst, by the way, is getting on my last nerve.

Vince Gilligan says the same thing, but I don't buy it. You simply don't introduce a character with a scene in which she's made vegan bacon against the will of her family for health reasons, then try to act like she's been a sympathetic character all along.

They used the acid on him, just like they did with the kid.

Great Marie episode, too. The slap was outstanding.

But Todd is not quite the cook Walt and Jesse are.

Exactly. Lydia said as much. All it will take is a few more cook fires and some guys with ponytails and funny accents will start showing up in ABQ to roust Jesse out of his most recent catatonic state.

Gilligan was on Nerdist podcast a couple weeks ago and he said he no longer sympathizes with Walt, but he's glad the viewers do.

It kind of struck me as a bullshit answer, but only he knows the truth. Last night's show might have been the first time I've seen Skyler as sympathetic.
