Spin-off idea: Mexican restaurant waiter begins an oxycontin empire by distributing it via tableside guac.

They really got that cheesy novelty Mexican restaurant vibe down, from the annoying waiters to the volume in the dining room to the terrible decor. Mike Judge would be proud.

I have the same feeling about Walt and the cleaner. Jesse might have fucked that up.

Jesse isn't logical, so I'll give some benefit of the doubt, but even though he knows Walt swiped the ricin cig, Jesse still doesn't know that Walt used the Lily Of The Valley. I'm certain he assumes it, but he doesn't know. The tox screen showed no ricin in Brock. So what does Jesse think Walt did with the ricin?

Walt should have capped Jesse instead of hugged him.

Didn't the doctors tell Jesse it was Lily of the Valley and not ricin? Thought they mentioned that in the final moments of Season 4, with Jesse even telling Walt that. It's why they had the scene in the first half of Season 5 where they were searching for the ricin cigarette in Jesse's house (Walt planted it in the Roomba).

They actually hit the nail on the head for Gardunos. It's the worst "Mexican" food in Albuquerque.

Marie is calling Walter, Jr. by the name Flynn once again. Just a nice little touch, and some foreshadowimg to a time when being named Walter White will make him infamous in the not too distant future....assuming Walter, Jr. survives these final five episodes.

The look on Hank's face when he was watching Walt's "confession" was awesome. He knows anyone who sees it would believe Walt, while also making it glaringly obvious how much this was done right under Hank's nose.

I thought this was a great episode. I don't have an issue with the Jesse having the epiphany moment because that is such a big moment in his life. And he's always had a sneaking suspicion about Walt being the one behind it. I thought this was the best episode since the train episode in the first half of the season. The tape was such a nice touch, and is a very smart move by Walt. He completely handcuffs Hank, at least for the time being, until all the shit goes down with Jesse.

I felt sort of a detachment with this episode. I liked last week's better. This was was sort of cold and never quite gripped me emotionally.

I had completely forgotten that Hank didn't know Walt and Skyler paid for his rehab.

  10. Really? Man, pretty much every scene with Jessie did nothing but grip me emotionally. But i'm a huge fan of Aaron Paul/Jessie.

I thought the Saul scenes, with and without Jesse, were the highlight. The Jesse story line is more interesting to me right now than the Walt story line. And everything is more interesting than the Todd/Lydia story line. I think the detachment comes partially from them opening with that scene. I don't know those characters and don't care about their fates.

I always kind of figured that was an ace in the hole for Walt.
